In the first ever night game in Ballina, the Swans battled out a fantastic come from behind performance to snatch victory in the dying minute to win by 2 points. The game was full of exciting football by both sides and it was the Bombers who jumped out of the blocks with the first goal of the match. The Swans hit back immediately with a goal by George Massa before the Bombers kicked two more to take out a 2 goal lead at the first break.
A brilliant second term by the Swans midfield provided Lismore's forwards Wesley Seewald and Dean Webb with goal opportunities however still found themselves down by a goal at the half time break. The Bombers got away with a couple of goals in the third term however the Swans continued to work tirelessly with Wes kicking 2 late goals in the third term to bring the margin back to 5 points at three quarter time.
The final quarter was a huge one with the Swans kicking the first 2 goals of the final term before the Bombers responded to hit the front. Angus Legoe lifted with an outstanding smother and with the assistance of Rhys Lavery drove the ball out of the backline. Lismore ruckman Shaun Wadwell dominated the ruck work in which Scott Brown and George Massa read beautifully. In a seesaw of a match the Swans Rhys Lavery slotted a goal through from the top of the goal square in the final minute to hit the front and record a 2 point win for the Swans.
