Official Match Report
Some terrible unpiring cost Bribie Island The game. Umpire refused on 3 occasions to talk to the Bribie Island Captain in regards to how he was interpreting the rules. Main umpire continued to over ride decicsions from second umpire from 50m or more away from the play to favour Caloundra. Main umpire refused to stop the game to allow ambulance access to seriously injured Caloundra player despite requests from both benches and coaches and ground medical staff. Main umpire only stopped play once Bribie Island players had clear possession of the football and looked definitely to score. Several incidents on th field were blown out of proportion by the main umpire. Bribie Island player no.7 was reported for merely asking the umpire if he was serious when he failed to award a free kick to the player in the Bribie Island forward line after the player was tackled high 3 times in a row. Coaching staff from the coloundra side were appalled by the nain umpires decision making and agreed on the day that the decision making was very one sided and rui9ned a good game of football. This main umpire definitely needs to be educated in regards to the rules of the game. The unpires refusal to inform the Bribie Island captain of how he was going to interpret the rules made it impossible for the Bribie players to adjust their style of play. At no time did the main umpire offer an explanation as to the reason for tackling penalties and when the Bribie Island captain asked him to explain it the main umpire flatly refused.
I would love some feedback in relation to these issues if possible....
