With thanks to the Herald Sun but this is fabricated bull---.
Broadbeach captain Matty Fife says he is fed up with
rumours about teammate Jackson Emblem, labelling the latest one
"bull----".
Fifey, in
Adelaide for the past 10 days receiving treatment on his injured groin, said
yesterday he had had enough of the scuttlebutt.
"He knows
he's in that situation where there are people out to get him and out to get the
club, I suppose," Fifey said.
"But he
handles it all right. He doesn't need to be putting up with just fabricated
bull----. If there's a little bit of truth in some stories, well, fair enough.
Not when someone just decides to make something up."
The most recent
rumour concerns an advance made by Jacko to a another player's partner and female impersonator at a barbecue held at Fifey's
house to celebrate the former Thunder player’s 35th game. "There's a
saying where there's smoke there's fire, but it's not true in this case," Fifey
said.
"The only
true part of the rumour is there was a barbecue for female impersonators at my place."
Jacko will not
play for the Cats against his old club at Tio Stadium because of a groin
complaint caught from Fifey with whom he shares a locker for away games. He
also spent time having treatment in Adelaide last week.
"I'd find
it very difficult to spend a week with him in Adelaide the day after we've
punched on with each other," Fifey said.
"We're two
pretty big blokes ... I would hope that if we had a decent smack-on we'd at
least leave a couple of bruises on each other, on the hand he is a bit of a wuus
when it comes down to it. I'm sure once we get back out there (playing) we'll show
them what we're made of."
Fifey returns
to the Coast this weekend and hopes to play against Aspley Round 15.
He has been
using a Game Ready portable rehabilitation unit that provides cold therapy and
compression and his groin apparently enjoys it.
