Daniel Dzufer has capped off a stellar first year with the Roos, claiming the club's Best & Fairest in front of 190 people at Maroochy RSL on Friday night. In a see-sawing count which saw the lead change 6 times, Dzufer's 13 goals in the final round secured the award ahead off Josh Norman in second. Last year's winner, Jackson Ryan rounded out the top three.
Norman and Ryan swappped the top spot of the leaderboard over the first 10 rounds before Dzufer took a slim lead in round 11. He held the spot for two rounds when Norman wrestled it back in round 13 with a win over Nambour (in which Jack Gale took all available votes).
Dzufer then claimed 29 of the the 30 available votes in the next two rounds and then all 15 available votes int he final round to secure the gong.
In a humble speech, Dzufer spoke highly about the footy club and how much he's enjoyed the year, and dclared that he was going nowhere next season much to the delight of the 190-strong audience.

The most exciting vote count of the night, however, went to the Colts boys which went down to the final round and resulted with just 10 votes separating the top 6.
With just two rounds to play, Lachlan Broadstock sat in 6th place, 15 points behind then leader James Puschmann. Broadstock, however, came home wth a wet sail to claim the trophy by 3 votes ahead of Kelly Sidebottom, with Puschmann a furtehr 2 votes back in third.
Reserve Grade was taken out by Dave Hulsman followed by David Bell and then Justin Noonan.
Third grade was won by Zach Epstein with second spot being tied between Matt Toohey and Michael Epstein who, remarkably, is Zach's dad. Sensational effort!
The night also saw Lisa Daldy given the Neil Upton Award which recognises outstanding contribution to the club.
Harrison Kerr (son of Roos great Peter Kerr) took out the club leading goalkicker award while Jack Gale was recognised by the Past Roos Association as the MVP.
