The Noosa Tigers have appointed a new senior coach for seasons 2016 and 2017.
Born and bred in a small town in country Victoria called Portland, Sam Faure played his first senior game at 15, and became a premiership player in 2007.
In 2008 he played with VFL club North Ballarat Roosters before moving north to Queensland in 2009 where he joined the Morningside Panthers.
Sam played 130 games for Morningside and was a member of their premiership teams in 2009, 2010 and 2014.
Sam also played in NEAFL state game against South Austraila in 2013 and QAFL state game against Victoria amateurs in 2014.
Coming from a small town Sam is very conscious of the need to engage with the local community. Sam also wants to create a path for Noosa juniors and has stated that if there are any 15 or 16 year old players who are good enough they will get a run with the seniors.
Sam plays football with taking risks, and the small goal sneak said that's how the Tigers will play; fast flow football, not over complicating the game. Sam went on to say that football is fun and that's why we play the game. To get out there with 22 of your best mates and celebrate a win and drive the club to success.
Sam is very excited about the opportunity that lays ahead, and can not wait to meet the boys and get stuck into preseason
