Tigers repeat dose on Uni of QLD but not as easy the second time around!
The Rococo’s bar and bistro Noosa tigers have beaten a much braver Uni of QLD side in Brisbane last Saturday to remain a game clear and percentage on top of the QFA Division 1 Harts Sport Ladder. With some influential inclusions and the non travel mental factor assisting their quest, the Uni of QLD boys were a much more competitive unit. Although Noosa always looked to have the game in control, the 23 point margin reflected a pretty even contest. Whilst senior coach Sam Faure showed frustration at the breaks, I’m pretty sure he and his coaching staff would have been happy just to get the four points and head back up the highway and get ready for what is a massive month ahead for the Tigers.
The Rococo Bar and Bistro Noosa Tigers will meet an inform Caloundra outfit this week who kept Bond Uni to a no score last weekend. To make it an even bigger occasion this Saturday, the Tigers host Caloundra in the first ever night match at Weyba Road. The match starts at 7pm and I'm sure a big crowd will flock down to the grounds to witness history in the making. Noosa will again look for big games from footy manager Mitch Woods who again was outstanding last Saturday and is really having a superb season. 2011 premiership player Aaron Laskey likewise was brilliant for the Tigers and continues to dominate across half back, whilst the skilful and great to watch Kai Fitzpatrick handled everything with ease and poise.Joel Lambourne and Tommy McKittrick dominated their positions whilst ruckman McDonald and Coleman were solid throughout the day. Up forward it was coach Faure who again bagged 5 goals in a top performance with his ex Morningside premiership team mate Kent Delbridge kicking 3 majors. All in all a win needed to consolidate with the real action set to hit the Tigers this Saturday night. The night match has arrived.
Go Tigers! Cheers Pittsy
