The Rococo’s Bar and Bistro Noosa Tigers have come away from the Gold Coast a final time this season smashing lack lustre Bond University by 24 goals last Saturday. The Noosa Tigers only let in 2 goals in both senior and reserve grade as they fine tune for what is a very big month ahead. Of course it starts with a final fixture game at Weyba Road against triple premiers Mayne FC who whilst looking down and out in season 2017 have not been an easy opponent for anyone over the past 4 years.
The Rococo’s Bar and Bistro Noosa Tigers banged on seven goals in the opening stanza against cellar dweller Bond Uni to completely set the tone for the day with Kent Delbridge helping himself to four first quarter goals. Nick Hill in the middle gathered possessions at will to be one of the Tigers best whilst inform on ball all duo Tom Templeton and Jai Fitzpatrick continue to wreck havoc upon opposition teams. Dow back again it was Laskey and Lambourne who controlled any situation that was thrown at them. Meanwhile Ben Fuller was excellent after being brought up from the seconds.
Most of the forwards helped themselves to multiple goals with Jeffrey, McDonald, Copeland and Westall all chipping in with at least two. As mentioned earlier there is one final fixture hurdle to overcome as Mayne attempt to spoil Noosa’s party on the coast and keep their slim finals hopes alive. The only headache for Sam Faure and his match committee will be at the selection table as players including himself, Peter Trompf, Tom McKittrick and ‘Cubby’ Isles make themselves available as the Division 1 Hart Sport Finals loom. To be honest, it’s a really good position for the selection panel to be in! Another massive day looms at Tigerland this Saturday starting with John ‘Sammy’ Newman as the guest speaker from 11.30! Should be a ripper!
Go tigers,
Cheers, Pittsy
